I met with the owners of The Rug Company in Westbourne House, my store in Notting Hill. We started talking and they asked if I would be interested in designing a carpet collection. I enjoyed talking to them and, having had the opportunity to visit them in their workshop, I knew immediately that we could work together.
My designs have been a progression of my clothes, shirts and knits. My carpets are strong in style and shape. They fit into today’s interiors by adding fun and colour.” - Paul Smith
