Welcome To Boulevard Raspail
A stone’s throw from Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Jardin du Luxembourg, our Boulevard Raspail shop was Paul Smith’s first shop in Paris and provides an intimate shopping experience with an eclectic selection of art, furniture and sculptures decorating the space.
Current Exhibition: Hugues Chevallier IRSUT / Paste The Present
Our Boulevard Raspail shop is delighted to co-host – with our Rue de Grenelle shop – artist Hugues Chevallier IRSUT’s new exhibition ‘Paste The Present’. Vibrant and colourful, Hugues abstract work conveys a sense of joy and intimacy.
“I aspire to paint my metaphysical questions, to materialise the void, the present, and the idea that we are part of a greater whole,” the artist explains. “The dream for me is that one day someone looks at one of my paintings and thinks ‘I'm alive’.”
‘Paste The Present’ is open now until January 2024.
Exhibition / Picasso Celebration: The Collection In A New Light
This new exhibition held at the Musée Picasso Paris has been curated by Cécile Debray and Joanne Snrech under the artistic direction of Paul himself. Held to mark the 50th anniversary of his passing, the exhibition is a truly unique showcase of the artist’s sweeping oeuvre – with the designer’s signature twist.
“Overwhelmingly, it’s a sense of playfulness and joy that I wanted to impart with this project. That, after all, is how I’ve always approached art and design,” Paul says. “I hope it’s something that will be enjoyed by those familiar with Picasso’s work as much as those who have never seen it before. It really is the work in a new light.”
