The collaboration came about after a chance meeting between Paul and Priya. Introduced by a friend, the two instantly hit it off.

This collaboration is so special to me as it was born out of friendship and curiosity. A while back, Paul so kindly invited me to come and meet him and learn about how he works, and I was blown away by him and his treasure trove of an office.
Priya
It was there, in Paul’s office, that the beginnings of the collaboration began to take shape. With their magpie-like minds, the duo began mining Paul’s endless collection of objects, art and ephemera for inspiration - and found it in stacks of vintage cycling memorabilia and Studio One Records vinyl covers.
A clever blend of codes borrowed from both Paul Smith and Ahluwalia, the collaborative collection champions a truly forward-thinking approach to design and craft. Utilising surplus fabrics, low-impact materials and organic cotton, plus Priya’s signature patchwork and panelling techniques, it represents both designers’ steadfast belief that getting ready should, above all, be something you have a bit of fun with.
While our styles may appear different at first glance, we’re coming at it from the same place: a real conviction that clothes should be a source of joy. This collaborative collection is proof of that.
