A companion piece to the black on black Fifth Edition, this new Sixth edition reinterprets the iconic design in an all white colourway with a discreet Artist Stripe along the lower arm – a design inspired by palettes in a painter’s workshop. And rather than one standard size, the lamp comes in three: the mini, the midi and the maxi.
“I thought it would be nice to add two extremes: the mini and the maxi!,” Paul says. “The giant one is pretty extraordinary and in a big space looks sensational, whilst the mini is perfect for studies or for students working in smaller spaces.”
“With each Anglepoise + Paul Smith design we have taken a different creative direction while staying true to Sir Kenneth Grange’s much-loved Type 75 lamp silhouette,” the British brand adds. “We have designed one lamp in all black, and one in all white so they will work brilliantly as a monochrome pair. The Anglepoise + Paul Smith Edition Five is elegant, but with a fun playful side. The new Edition Six is classic and clean but with the quirky addition of the stripe.”
