Harry Cartwright - Fruits & the Spirit

Fruits & the Spirit is a presentation of new work by British artist Harry Cartwright. The vibrant, energetic paintings are an expression of Cartwright's love of fruit and veg markets: riotous assemblages of colour, shape, and texture; taste and smell. The produce itself and the people who frequent these markets are all vividly depicted in the work, celebrating the communities that form around a basic need for flavour and sustenance. It's these places that provide Cartwright with, as he puts it, 'a sensory overload of joy and positivity.'
